Like the tracks, the Wildcat show has also evolved over the years, while still staying true to its humble beginnings.
The first shows were mostly a parade of reckless, self-deprecating comedy, with Cat and his various hype-men spitting street knowledge in wacky, thugged-out costumes for their boys’ entertainment.
But with rap music growing steadily more commercial and formulaic over recent years, at some point Cat realized he’s one of the last real Gs holding it down, and felt he had to rep his cause a bit harder.
So lately the live shows strive to find a balance between entertainment and kicking street knowledge, still having fun while letting all these wack-ass jokers know what time it is, out in Dundas.
